Apple has announced that it will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2025) from June 9 to 13, 2025. The conference will be held online; however, developers and students will also have the opportunity to attend in person during a special event at Apple Park on June 9.

Apple is expected to unveil major software updates during the event, including iOS 19, iPadOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16. WWDC25, which is free to all developers, will highlight the latest developments in Apple's software.

As part of Apple's ongoing commitment to supporting developers, the conference will provide them with unique access to Apple experts, as well as insight into new tools, frameworks, and features.
Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, said:
We're excited to celebrate another great year of WWDC with the global developer community. "We can't wait to share the latest tools and technologies that will empower developers and help them continue to innovate."
Developers and students will be able to discover the latest Apple software and technologies by following the conference keynote. They can also watch WWDC25 news throughout the week on the Apple Developer app, the Apple Developer website, and the Apple Developer Channel. Apple Developer On YouTube.

This year's conference will include video sessions and opportunities to connect with Apple engineers and designers in online labs. To celebrate the start of WWDC, Apple will offer developers the opportunity to meet Apple experts face-to-face in group labs and participate in special activities. Space will be limited, and details on how to apply to attend are available on the WWDC25 website.
On March 27, applicants to this year's Swift Student Challenge will be notified of their status, and winners will be eligible to apply to participate in a special event at Apple Park. Additionally, 50 outstanding winners, who will be recognized for their outstanding submissions, will be invited to Cupertino, California, for a three-day experience.
What is expected to be announced at WWDC25?
Software is the main focus of WWDC, and rumors from 2025 suggest that iOS 19 will introduce some changes to app design and add more functionality to Siri.

We don't know much about what's coming next, but some tidbits have emerged. iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 will bring a "fundamental change" to the look and feel of the operating system. Apple will update the style of icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons, with plans to simplify navigation and control.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman described the design change as the biggest update to iOS since iOS 7. Apple loosely based its new design on the Apple Vision Pro interface, which features rounded app icons with lots of transparency for menus and other interface elements.

Like iOS 16 and iPadOS 19, macOS 19 will feature a redesigned look with new icons, menus, apps, and more. The new design will bring greater consistency between macOS and iOS.
