Apple released iOS 18.4.1 and iPadOS 18.4.1 yesterday. Although these are minor, infrequent updates, that doesn't mean they're not important to install. These updates protect iPhone and iPad users from an attack that could result in the execution of dangerous code. Apple says it's aware of a report alleging that this issue has already been exploited in sophisticated individual attacks against some targeted iOS users.

There are minor updates for iOS 17, macOS 14, and macOS 13 as well.

To update your device, take the following steps ...

Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update, it will show you that an update is available.

You can click on Learn more to view the update details

To download the update, you must connect to Wi-Fi. It is preferable to connect your device to the charger, then press the “Update Now” button.

The passcode entry screen will appear.

After the update is finished, the device will restart. After several steps, the update will be completed.
