Apple releases iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 update

  • Fixed bugs in AFClip and CFNetwork libraries that could cause crashes.
  • Fixed a bug in the CoreAudio library when playing malicious audio files.
  • Fixed a bug in the CoreMedia library that could cause the app to close unexpectedly or cause memory corruption when playing malicious audio files.
  • The update also includes eight fixes related to WebKit, which could expose sensitive user information and cause Safari to crash and memory corruption.

Before updating, make sure to take a backup copy of the contents of your device, whether on iCloud or on the iTunes application

To update your device, take the following steps ...

Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update, it will show you that an update is available.

To download the update, you must connect to Wi-Fi. It is preferable to connect your device to the charger, then press the “Update Now” button.
