Apple Smart Glasses: Everything We Know About Meta's Ray-Ban Rival

Apple is preparing to surprise us with an exciting new product: smart glasses that will compete with Meta's Ray-Ban sunglasses. In this article, we'll take you on a comprehensive tour to explore everything we know so far about Apple's smart glasses, from design to features, and how they will change the way we interact with technology.

Apple Smart Glasses Overview

For years, rumors have been circulating that Apple is working on lightweight augmented reality smart glasses. However, these glasses still seem to be a long way off. Instead, Apple is working on a display-less smart glasses that rely on cameras, microphones, and AI integration to deliver a unique experience. These glasses will serve as an additional accessory for the iPhone, much like the Apple Watch or AirPods, reducing dependence on the phone while offering fun additional features.

Modern and practical design

Apple plans to make its smart glasses a stylish accessory that combines technology and style, just as it did with the Apple Watch. Design plans include:

◉ Diverse options, as the glasses will be available with metal and plastic frames, with a range of colors and styles to suit all tastes.

◉ Custom lenses, such as the Vision Pro glasses, are expected to support prescription lenses in collaboration with Zeiss, in addition to sunglasses and regular lens options.

◉ Advanced technology: The glasses will feature built-in cameras and microphones, with an LED indicator to indicate when the camera is on, enhancing transparency and privacy.

◉ Manufacturing with 3D printing technology, Apple is testing innovative manufacturing techniques to ensure high quality and precise design.

Imagine wearing glasses that combine the elegance of Ray-Ban with the advanced technology of Apple. It's a step into the future!

How will the glasses be controlled?

Apple's smart glasses will be easy to use with convenient control interfaces:

◉ Touch control, where you can tap the frame to take a photo or control other functions.

◉ Voice control: Thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence, you will be able to give voice commands to the glasses, such as playing music, asking for directions, or inquiring about what you see in front of you.

Smart glasses features

Apple's smart glasses promise to offer a range of features that combine entertainment and productivity. Here's what to expect:

◉ Take photos and record videos, including spatial videos.

◉ Play audio, such as music or podcasts.

◉ Get directions on the go.

◉ Ask questions and get instant answers thanks to artificial intelligence.

◉ Describing things around you, such as identifying plants, animals, or landmarks.

◉ Making phone calls.

◉ Instant translation of languages.

◉ Support for the “Find My” feature to locate the glasses, and this feature is possible.

Imagine walking through a park and asking your glasses to identify the type of flower in front of you, or recording a fun moment with your friends with just one tap, all without needing your phone!

Relying on iPhone

Although the glasses will have some standalone capabilities, they will rely heavily on the iPhone for features like music playback or access to the AI assistant. Apple is designing a custom SoC inspired by the Apple Watch chip to ensure power efficiency and powerful performance.

Artificial intelligence integration

Artificial intelligence is the foundation of Apple's smart glasses. The cameras will be able to feed information to an intelligent assistant that will provide answers about what they see, such as identifying landmarks or answering immediate questions. AI can also control the glasses' functions, such as taking photos or playing songs, making the experience seamless and enjoyable.

Expected price

Apple has yet to announce the price of the smart glasses, but it's expected to be in the price range of AirPods and the Apple Watch, possibly between $300 and $500. By comparison, Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses start at $300, making the competition fierce.

Competition with Meta

Apple faces stiff competition from Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses, which have gained popularity thanks to their sleek design and artificial intelligence features. Meta has partnered with companies like Ray-Ban and Oakley to offer smart glasses that combine style and technology. However, Apple seeks to differentiate itself through seamless integration with the iPhone and a focus on a superior user experience.

launch date

According to Bloomberg reports, Apple may launch its smart glasses in 2026, while analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts a delay until 2027. Either way, it doesn't look like the wait will be long!

The future of Apple glasses

Apple's first version of the smart glasses will not support augmented reality, but the company is working on future versions with displays to deliver a true augmented reality experience. This aligns with Apple's long-standing ambition to develop augmented reality technologies that will change the way we interact with the world.

Apple Glasses promise to be an exciting addition to the world of wearable technology. With a sleek design, smart features, and powerful AI integration, they could become a strong competitor to the Ray-Ban Meta. Whether you're looking for a stylish accessory or a practical tool to simplify your daily life, Apple Glasses are worth the wait.

The problem with Apple is that they only share their dreams with us and the profits are theirs. All their projects are behind all other companies, weaker and more expensive without a logical justification. From iPhone 8 to iPhone 17, all the difference is a color theme and some funny additions, so many people don't buy the new phones... So Apple intentionally slows down the system or upgrades some software so that the new phone appears faster..!

My advice to the iPhone Islam team is to stop the hype and publish only verified news!! In the past, the hype was for Apple TV, but years passed and this product did not appear. After that, you hyped up the Apple car, and it was also a failed project!! This is regardless of the hype for features that you say Apple will include in its updates, and we still do not see that!! So speak realistically because your followers have abandoned you because of this continuous hype.

I am a fan of the iPhone and Apple products, but what you say is true. The article is about AI predictions and doesn’t add anything. I wasted my time reading.
