Apple unveils new products with M5 processor: iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and Vision Pro

Apple today launched three new flagship products without major features or updates. But what they do have in common is that they feature the new M5 processor, which represents a significant leap in performance, especially for artificial intelligence. In this article, we'll learn about the new iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and the new Vision Pro glasses, which have received significant upgrades thanks to this processor.

New M5 processor

The heart of the new announcements is the powerful M5 processor, which has 10 graphics cores and an AI accelerator unit in each core. The processor is built on a very small 3nm process, which means faster performance with lower power consumption. According to Apple, the processor offers faster AI-designed computing performance and improved image and video processing, with up to four times the speed compared to the previous M4 processor.

Graphics performance is also 30% higher, the CPU is 15% faster at multitasking, and it features an upgraded 16-core AI engine, which helps perform tasks like converting 2D images to 3D scenes more quickly. Unified memory delivers 30% faster performance, making AI applications and video games run better.

The new iPad Pro

The new iPad Pro hasn't changed much in design, but it does feature a powerful M5 processor. It comes in two sizes: 11-inch and 13-inch. It can be charged quickly, reaching 50% in 30 minutes, but the charger in the box is only 20W. The iPad is equipped with the new N1 chip, which supports modern connectivity technologies like Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.

The new models are 3.5 times faster in AI, offer improved graphics performance with ray tracing technologies, and enhance video editing, conversion, and AI-powered video processing. Memory reaches up to 12GB in some models, double the previous model's.

The screens use OLED technology with special glass that reduces glare and can display content at resolutions and refresh rates of up to 120 Hz.

The new MacBook Pro

Apple didn't launch a large line of MacBook Pros with the M5 processor, but it did offer a 14-inch model with storage options up to 4TB and memory up to 32GB. Pricing starts at $1599 and can increase depending on the options.

This computer offers 3.5 times faster AI performance and 1.6 times faster graphics performance compared to the previous version. Its SSD storage speed has also been improved to twice the speed. It features a mini-LED display with anti-glare options, a 12-megapixel camera, a six-speaker audio system, and multiple ports including Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, and a headphone jack.

New Apple Vision Pro glasses

From Phone Islam: A high-tech white and gray headset with a curved front display, equipped with Apple M5 headphones and an adjustable padded fabric strap featuring orange accents and a circular dial.

The previously underwhelming Vision Pro mixed reality headset returns with a few improvements. Most notably, it includes a new, softer, and more comfortable headband, and the use of the M5 processor for improved performance and increased battery life to two and a half hours of normal use and three hours of video viewing.

Despite the improvements, the price remains high at $3499. This release comes ahead of the announcement of competitors like Samsung, which is planning to launch the XR with similar features but at a lower price.

How do you think processors like the M5 will impact future Apple products, and what do you think of this strange update to the Vision Pro glasses?

I did not benefit from the m4. The software has become weaker. If there is a way to return, I will do so.

Frankly, Apple's marketing is unrealistic because when you offer a luxury product at such a high price, you need to first build a broad and lasting fan base and create a real desire for it in the market, and this goal has not been achieved. It is true that Apple has a strong fan base, but it seems that the pricing has let them down here.
Especially since glasses are not considered an essential product for daily life, but rather a complementary and luxury item. With the upcoming competition from Samsung and others, and their financial intelligence, it will be difficult to achieve widespread distribution at this price.

I don't think these improvements make any difference to the average user or the professional as well, even the glasses are the same price as the previous glasses.
