In the tech world, rumors about new smartphones are always circulating, and the iPhone 18 Pro is no exception. Tech expert Jon Prosser shared a video showcasing the expected design changes for this phone, as well as new color options you might see for the first time with this release.

Front camera and screen design

One of the most interesting changes is the use of under-display technology for Face ID, which allows the facial recognition sensors to be hidden beneath the phone's screen. This means the front-facing camera cutout will be smaller and moved to the top left corner of the screen. Despite this change, the popular Dynamic Island user interface will remain unchanged.

Rear camera and its advanced features

The phone will also feature an advanced front-facing camera with a variable aperture that mechanically controls the amount of light entering the lens, resulting in more beautiful, realistic, and depth-of-field images than software-based camera systems. However, this feature may only be available on the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The processor and new communication technologies

The phone is expected to feature the new A20 Pro processor, along with Apple's own C2 modem. These components will provide the phone with greater speed and efficiency. Apple will also change the camera control button to a pressure-based system instead of the complex haptic feedback, simplifying its use.
Phone launch plan and future technologies

Apple plans to release two phone lines in 2026, with separate Pro versions and a unique foldable model. The company is also developing 5G satellite connectivity to expand its existing emergency capabilities. These new technologies are expected to emerge after Tim Cook's tenure as CEO, and a change in leadership at Apple is possible in the near future.
