Say goodbye to distractions: Start your Quran recitation with the new app blocking feature in the book.

At a moment we say, thank God we have finished the development Book applicationThere's nothing more to add. Thanks be to God, the app already has all the features of any other Quran app, and some features not found in other Quran apps. But suddenly, we see an idea… an idea that isn't new, and it's not ours, but its implementation was never correct; no one could implement it properly. So we go back to the app and start implementing it again… the joy and the torment of striving for the best possible user experience, especially with apps whose goal is to draw closer to God Almighty.

From the PhoneIslam website: Two smartphones display the Quran application; one displays a screen activating the focus mode without distractions, while the other displays the Quranic text and focus settings.

Khatmah in the Quran application

We were never convinced that Quran apps should have a "Khatmah" feature, or a way to track your reading progress. It's like telling me a recipe app should put food in my mouth. My friend, track your reading progress yourself using bookmarks! Completing a reading is a voluntary act, and there's plenty of flexibility in that, so why restrict it?

But after scrutinyWe realized the problem wasn't the concept itself, but rather the cumbersome or complicated implementation in most apps. Therefore, we wanted to present "Khatma" in a smart way that interacts with you, encourages you, and seamlessly integrates into your daily routine, rather than being just a cold, digital counter.

Begin the recitation

Starting the Khatma is very easy; from the main menu, click on “Start Khatma”, and then a screen will appear asking you about the duration of the Khatma, and there is also an option to add a reminder at the time you prefer.

From the Phone Islam website: The app screen displays a schedule for reading the Holy Quran, showing a timetable for reading the Holy Quran in Arabic and options to set daily reading goals and reminders to complete the Holy Quran.

It's that simple. A new reading begins, and the app calculates how many pages you need to read daily to complete the reading within the allotted time. Despite its simple interface, it offers a unique option not found in other apps: starting the reading from the current page. This is because some users may have already begun a reading on another app or with a printed copy of the Quran, and the app will calculate your progress accordingly to suit the reading timeframe.

Focus mode (no more distractions)

From the PhoneIslam website: The mobile app screen displays the beginning of Surah Al-Fatihah in Arabic from the Bible, with the book app's focus mode settings to block notifications for a specific period of time.

Now we come to the special part; after you begin reading, the app asks you to enter focus mode (or you can activate it manually). This screen allows you to choose your reading time and blocks all other apps on your system. So, if you're tempted to check WhatsApp or Instagram, a gentle screen will remind you that it's Quran time and you should return to your reading.

This interface appears over blocked apps, displaying a Live Activity counter showing the remaining time to help you stay on track. The system is smart enough to suggest automatically activating this mode as soon as you start your session.

Track progress intelligently

From the PhoneIslam website: Arabic text from Surah Al-Baqarah, Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 61, displayed without derivatives, with the verse number highlighted and details about the surah and part at the bottom of the image - ideal for experiencing the book application.

Now that you are focused and reading the Quran, you will find a progress bar at the bottom that counts the number of pages remaining until you finish your daily recitation. When you finish, this bar will turn green, and a message will appear for the first time instructing you to double-tap the verse to save your progress in the recitation.

From PhoneIslam: A screenshot of the book app showing verse 22 of Surah Al-Baqarah, with pop-up instructions in Arabic on how to track progress - a design without derivatives that helps you read the Quran with focus and tranquility.

Because you might skip ahead or become lazy and read less, the app will keep track of your progress. Next time, all you have to do is tap "Complete Your Recitation" and it will calculate the remaining days until you finish your missed portion.

Now it's easy to start a plan to read the entire Quran, track your progress page by page, set a target duration, and receive daily reminders to stay on track. Upon completion, you'll celebrate with a beautiful, shareable achievement card. The total number of completions is also tracked in the analytics section, allowing you to see your progress over time.

From PhoneIslam: An ornate drawing displaying a congratulatory message for completing three readings of the Holy Quran, featuring an open Quran drawing and golden decorative elements - perfect for celebrating your achievement in the book application.

Seal widget for home screen

From PhoneIslam: The Arabic-language book app dashboard shows 10 consecutive days of reading, a total of 25 days, Quran progress, session time, and a verse from Surah Al-Mu’minun at the bottom - all without distractions for a focused experience.

Keep the Quran always in sight. Quickly track your progress with a new home and lock screen widget that displays the current surah, verse, and progress bar, designed to complement the system's interface aesthetics.

Book Assistant (Your Smart Companion)

Next, we come to a feature that we believe has never been properly implemented in any of the apps: the "Smart Quran Assistant." This assistant isn't just a voice assistant that plays Quranic verses; it understands you, knows what you want, and controls the entire app.

It is a voice-activated Quran companion (or keyboard if the place is not suitable for speaking), understands your commands and helps you navigate the Quran. Speak to it naturally — say, for example: “Play Surah Yasin with the voice of Mishary from verse 10,” or “Go to Ayat al-Kursi,” or “Look for verses about patience,” or even “Play the verse in which it is mentioned: ‘So your sight today is sharp.’”

It's so smart you can tell it, "Play the current surah." The Book Assistant knows your reading progress and encourages you to continue. And thanks to deep system integration, the assistant is also available via Siri Shortcuts for an even easier and faster experience.

An application like the book has been under development for a long time and has a high cost, especially since it uses artificial intelligence in some features such as the book assistant, recitation correction, reading tracking, and others… but thanks be to God There are those who donatedThis app costs a full year, but this offer is for a limited time. You are not obligated to accept the gift. If you like the app, you can contribute and pay the subscription fee. Please add the ability to display two pages of the Quran simultaneously in landscape mode to mimic the actual Quran.
Also, syncing bookmarks between different Apple devices

By God, he's only distinguished in grammar and syntax. The Glorious Quran offers more services than him and a non-Arabic-speaking Pakistani institution that surpasses him. He says, "We love specialization," he says.

I hope you will add a procedure in the Shortcuts app that starts reading the Khatma audibly from the current position and updates the Khatma position when stopping.
This allows for quick operation of the Quran recitation without opening the application and recording progress.

Also, the addition of a synchronization feature between iPhones and iPads allows you to continue reading wherever you left off on either device, as well as keep track of your bookmarks. In short, it's a complete synchronization and match wherever I open the app. Thank you for your efforts.

But this does happen. If you try it and it doesn't happen to you, contact us from within the app so we can see what the problem is.

May God reward you and place this in the balance of your good deeds, but please focus, focus, and focus on ensuring the application is accessible to people with disabilities. To be honest, I haven't personally verified the application's accessibility, but I wanted to bring this matter to your attention.

The app is one of the best, but it lacks some features, given that it is a purely Islamic religious app. It needs a section for supplications and a section for determining the direction of prayer (Qibla).
The Hadith section of the mosques? A few of the many wishes for it to be comprehensive and for Muslims not to need to apply anything else.
Thank you for your efforts.

This is a Quran app; we prefer specialization. If you want a prayer app, use "My Prayer".

If you could add an auto-scroll feature
The application is very well integrated

Regarding your kind suggestion about the “Auto Scrolling” feature, we appreciate your keenness to develop the application, but we at “The Book App” believe in providing a new user experience that is appropriate to the majesty of the Holy Quran and provides the highest levels of contemplation.

Through experience and research, we have found that traditional auto-scrolling is an "outdated" feature with many technical and experimental flaws, including:

Loss of control: The reader is forced to follow the text. If he wants to repeat a verse for contemplation or memorization, scrolling precedes him and he has to stop it manually.

Distraction: Any slight distraction from the screen causes the text to disappear upwards, breaking the focus.

Inflexibility: Reading speed varies from person to person and from verse to verse depending on its length and meanings, and automatic scrolling does not understand this variation.

The smarter alternative in the book app: the “reading tracking” feature.
Instead of automatic scrolling, we created a “Reading Tracking” feature (found in the main menu), which is far superior for the following reasons:

You are the leader: The app tracks your actual reading and moves with you verse by verse, giving you complete freedom to meditate and repeat without the pressure of a scrolling “motor”.

Support for horizontal and vertical modes: The feature works very efficiently in horizontal display mode and automatically scrolls through the text once you reach the end of the passage, whether you are using the “Madinah Mushaf” or the “Textual Mushaf”.

Visual focus: This feature highlights the verse you are currently reading, preventing line overlap and making reading comfortable for the eyes for long periods.

We invite you to try and activate this feature, and we are confident that it will change your perception of traditional scrolling and provide you with a more immersive interactive experience.

Will it be available soon on Android?

The app relies heavily on Apple's environment for its features. I'm not saying the app can't be ported to Android; it's certainly possible, but it would require a massive effort to achieve the same efficiency. Furthermore, even system features like Live Activity, which displays a clock showing your Quran reading time on the system screen (not the app), and other system features differ between Samsung, Pixel, and Xiaomi. Each has its own library, its own world, and even its own system within the system. Modifying the stock Android system and failing to unify it will corrupt any app. (That's why you see apps on iPhones running more efficiently, even if they're developed by Google itself.)

We conduct experiments, and we hope that every developer working on a Quran application will replicate these experiments. We hope that every developer will innovate in the environment they use. This is our message, and this application is just one example of innovation in the field of Quran applications.

As a user, if you really like this app, I think it's easier to buy an iPhone than to wait for us to make it for Android 🙂

Thank you for your dedication to the Book of God.

Hi
May God bless your work. Please add the Warsh reading and also enlarge the font from the screen with two fingers, as we do in the images, so that the text enlarges and is evenly distributed on the page.

This is available in the textual Quran, the Madinah edition as is, it is difficult to enlarge unless you turn the device to landscape mode.

If you close this screen, it will still work for you; only the assistant feature requires this free subscription to limit its use.
