Yes, just like when AI features were first released in 2024, it seems Apple prefers to put us on a digital waiting list before letting us experience the future of AI on our devices.
Siri as a beta version and a queuing system expected
According to a Bloomberg report, the completely redesigned personal assistant is currently undergoing intensive behind-the-scenes development, internally classified as a beta version and a preview build. Because the software for this advanced system is still under active development and continuous improvement, Apple is seriously considering using a queuing system to manage the gradual rollout of advanced features to users, ensuring that its servers are not suddenly overwhelmed.
This strategy is not new to Apple; they have successfully implemented it before to ease the burden on their infrastructure and avoid any technical issues that might dampen user enthusiasm. This completely revamped voice assistant, codenamed Campo, is designed to function as a comprehensive AI companion, handling all tasks rather than simply being a tool for executing traditional voice commands.
Super smart capabilities and a completely new user interface
With iOS 27, Apple will finally deliver on many long-awaited technological promises. Siri will be able to analyze live information displayed directly on your screen, securely access your personal data through your Apple ID, and delve deep into various apps to perform highly complex tasks, such as checking for calendar overlaps before confirming a new appointment, or composing a detailed email based on the context of previous conversations and local notes.
These enhanced capabilities will be accompanied by a clear visual revolution, as Siri will ditch the old, glowing orb in favor of a sleek, dark interface that seamlessly unfolds from the interactive island. Swiping up from the top center of the screen reveals an entirely new panel called Search or Ask, offering Apple's cutting-edge web search experience, delivering intelligent summaries and results in rich, point-based images directly within the interface without distractions.

Also new is the integration of this interface with a completely standalone chat application, similar to leading smart platforms. Your conversations with this application will be synced across your various Apple devices via your iCloud account, meaning you can start a conversation or inquiry on your iPhone while you're out and about, then seamlessly resume it from where you left off on your Mac at your desk.
And since we're talking about Apple, privacy isn't a marginal feature but a cornerstone. Therefore, the new system includes advanced settings that give you complete control over automatically deleting your chat history; you can configure the assistant to automatically clear the history after 30 days, after a full year, or choose to keep it forever, just like the standard message retention options in the operating system.

Apple is working to make Siri an integral part of every action you take on your device. When you select or highlight any text in any iOS app, you'll immediately see the option to ask Siri, allowing it to quickly analyze or process that text. Although Apple will rely in part on Google’s Gemini technology to power certain search features, it will give you complete freedom to send complex questions and queries to other external AI models and applications, such as ChatGPT or Cloud, allowing you to benefit from the best digital minds in one place and with the highest possible levels of security.
