While everyone awaits the official unveiling of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, a leaked video appeared on the Korean platform “Naver,” showcasing what appear to be dummy display units of the new devices, providing the clearest visual evidence yet of the unconventional color options coming this year.
New color shades: Dark Cherry and Light Blue
The short clip shows two main devices: the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the iPhone 18 Pro, each featuring a color touch we are not accustomed to seeing in Apple’s recent lineups. The first phone comes in a dark red shade known as “Dark Cherry,” while the other shines in an elegant shade of light blue, giving the Pro models a vibrant look that moves away from the usual shades of gray and black.
To show the color contrast accurately, the video owner placed an iPhone 17 Pro Max in Dark Blue next to the new iPhone 18 Pro Max in its Dark Cherry color for a direct comparison. This clear difference between the two devices reinforced the credibility of the displayed models and confirmed that they do not belong to current or previous versions.
Evidence from storefronts: Is the leak real?
The video publisher did not include lengthy details, only a brief title indicating the reveal of dummy units for the iPhone 18 Pro in blue and the iPhone 18 Pro Max in dark cherry. However, the background of the clip reveals important details; a retail-style identification card is visible, as well as clear plastic holders and security cables identical to those used in official display stands.
It is perfectly logical for retail stores and outlets to start receiving dummy display units a few days before the announcement to prepare their stands for commercial launch, although leaking such clips involves a significant risk for those outlets.
