The most prominent event in the tech world is approaching, Wednesday, September 9. This conference is not just a routine annual date for launching new iPhones and Apple Watches; this year, it could turn into one of the company’s biggest and most important conferences in many years, thanks to a bundle of long-awaited surprises and revolutionary products.
iPhone 18 Pro family: A leap in processing and internal hardware
The main event, of course, will be the unveiling of the new generation of flagship phones; iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Reports indicate that Apple will maintain the general design language we saw in the previous generation, so the biggest focus will be on what is under the hood. These phones will carry the new A20 Pro processor manufactured with 2nm precision, a significant architectural leap that gives the phone amazing power efficiency alongside a noticeable increase in processing power and artificial intelligence.
Regarding the battery, leaks indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro Max may come with a slightly thicker chassis to make room for a larger capacity battery, which is a constant demand from professional users. As for the visual aspect and the front interface, there are strong expectations of reducing the Dynamic Island area thanks to moving some Face ID sensors under the screen glass.

The foldable iPhone: The big expected surprise
The historic conference may witness the announcement that tech enthusiasts have been waiting for for years: Apple’s official entry into the foldable phone market, which may carry the trade name that has been circulating for a while, “iPhone Ultra”. The phone adopts a horizontal design similar to a passport; with an external screen of about 5.5 inches and a wide internal screen of 7.8 inches, so that once opened, the phone turns into something like an iPad mini in your pocket.

Speculations suggest the possibility of new home devices appearing on the conference stage. Foremost among them is the Apple TV 4K after a long absence from updates, as it is expected to be equipped with a powerful processor capable of running Apple Intelligence features and a fully enhanced Siri voice assistant experience, and perhaps a new remote control.
