Samsung has officially announced its latest lineup of foldable phones, opening a new chapter in this category with three distinct devices: the all-new Galaxy Z Fold8, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra designed for ultimate productivity, and the elegant Galaxy Z Flip8. This series comes after seven generations of continuous innovation to meet the diverse needs of users, featuring comprehensive improvements in design, hardware, and deep integration with artificial intelligence.
Galaxy Z Fold8: Enhanced Screens and a Lighter Design

The Galaxy Z Fold8 features a restructured design, making it the lightest foldable phone Samsung has introduced to date, weighing only 201 grams. The phone utilizes carefully considered screen dimensions to suit everyday life; the 10:16 external screen provides a familiar experience for quick tasks and browsing, while the internal screen transforms when opened into a 4:3 aspect ratio, creating a spacious area suitable for reading books, browsing content, and gaming.
At the heart of the foldable screen, Samsung has introduced the new Flex Titanium technology, which combines a titanium alloy layer with an upgraded titanium panel to increase screen durability, reduce weight, and minimize the crease over time. The main screen also offers brightness reaching 3000 nits with a low-reflection layer to ensure excellent visibility under direct sunlight. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor customized for Galaxy devices, paired with a 4800 mAh battery.

Regarding photography, the Galaxy Z Fold8 contains two 50-megapixel cameras for the wide and ultra-wide lenses, ensuring high detail quality is maintained in various lighting conditions.

The phone supports the Dual Recording feature, allowing the user to preview themselves via the external screen while recording, alongside the My FanCam feature, which automatically tracks the selected subject and adjusts video dimensions to easily fit social media platforms.

Samsung has also not forgotten to add a number of accessories for the Galaxy Z Fold8 device.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: The Ultimate Productivity Phone with Ultra Standards
For the first time, Samsung brings the Ultra standard to foldable phones via the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. The device features a massive 8.0-inch main screen and is the thinnest Fold phone the company has offered, measuring just 4.1 mm thick when unfolded, with a weight of 215 grams.

The Fold8 Ultra houses a professional camera system led by a 200-megapixel main sensor equipped with enhanced HDR technology, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera for wide shots and macro photography. It also supports 8K video recording using advanced APV encoding and Cine LUT features for cinematic color control directly from the phone.
The Z Fold8 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, supporting a dual-charging architecture at 45 watts, alongside a dual-graphite cooling structure to efficiently dissipate heat during heavy tasks.

The Z Fold8 Ultra device has also received a wide range of accessories.
Galaxy Z Flip8: Elegant Design and a Smarter External Screen
The Galaxy Z Flip8 is designed to be the most agile and elegant phone, weighing 180 grams and measuring 6.1 mm thick when unfolded. The phone redefines the FlexWindow external screen with interactive AI touches that allow for quick task completion and direct access to information.

The external screen introduces the Now Brief feature to provide quick summaries and smart suggestions based on the user’s routine, in addition to access to Gemini Intelligence to automate tasks via voice commands or a side button press.
In terms of the camera, the phone carries a 50-megapixel camera with the ProVisual Engine to capture enhanced selfies with natural skin tones, with support for Flex Mode for hands-free shooting and the Super Steady feature with Horizontal Lock to prevent video shakiness.

Integrated AI and Facilitations for Migrating from iPhone
The new series devices come powered by the One UI 9 system and the upgraded Galaxy AI interface. Features like Gemini Notebook provide a workspace that gathers notes, recordings, and documents to convert them into audio summaries, reports, or charts easily via drag-and-drop. The series also benefits from the protection of the Samsung Knox ecosystem with KEEP and Knox Vault to protect personal data on the device.
An interesting gesture is Samsung’s facilitation of the transition process from iPhone devices; the updated Smart Switch app allows iPhone users to scan a QR code wirelessly to transfer data, including passwords, call history, and eSIM data, in addition to supporting Quick Share for compatibility with AirDrop to transfer files easily between the two devices in both directions.
