There is no doubt that this case has received ample luck and a lot of material on YouTube synchronizing with the launch of the iPhone X. In the past few days, a new patent for Apple has been revealed related to the next generation of Face ID, which is more sophisticated, so that it is difficult or impossible to achieve. Hack it or trick it with identical twins or even fraudulent faces made especially for it. So what is the new technology that Apple will introduce this time?


The Face ID system has not changed since its first introduction, but Apple is preparing to introduce a major change in that system, perhaps in the upcoming iPhones for this year. According to a number of reliable sources, the upcoming iPhone devices will include a new version, which is the second generation of the Face ID system, which will be faster, accurate and more reliable. And Apple appears to have been working on better technologies to differentiate twins, siblings, and other similar family members.


In a new patent published last week by the USPTO, Apple discloses a method that enables Face ID to be able to photograph under the skin and identify features underneath, such as blood vessels and veins!

The patent states, in part, that:

Evaluating subcutaneous characteristics such as blood vessels and veins during the facial recognition authentication process may be helpful in distinguishing between users with a greater degree of similarity such as twins and siblings. Thus, these features can also be used to prevent the device from being opened by an unauthorized user who wears a mask, or by using another method such as duplicating and duplicating the face.

The patent also states: Despite the close proximity or similarity in facial features between relatives, the shapes and patterns of blood vessels and veins are usually different and unique for each individual and can in no way be identical even with identical twins.

Thus, the characteristics of those blood vessels and veins in the skin layers of the face can be used to distinguish between siblings and twins or other users with similar features on the surface of the facial skin. In some embodiments, the blood vessels under the facial skin can be accommodated, and it is also possible to accommodate the vascular properties of the user's eye itself during the documentation process.

Although it is unlikely that we will see that technology this year, this patent shows that Apple is still working hard and in a different way to improve the functionality of the Face ID fingerprint and make the biometric authentication scheme safer and more robust.


It is worth noting, new rumors have spread confirming that the design of the upcoming iPhone with a triple-lens camera will come with the same design previously leaked, that is, three cameras and a flash in the form of a square similar to the Mate 20 phone.

But it is not possible to confirm or deny something like this, and if it is, then surely it will get a lot of ridicule and after that we will see many phones issued in this way and we will get used to it like what we are used to bump X.
