One of the difficulties that jailbreakers face is how to delete the jailbreak after it works; Where you have to do a system restore via iTunes "Restore" using the computer because the jailbreak is not just a cydia, but programs deep in the system that need to be deleted. The disadvantage of Restore with iTunes is that it forces you to download the latest version of the iOS system that may not be supported by a jailbreak. So, Cydia founder came to offer a radical solution.

Saurik, a developer and founder of the Cydia Store, has developed a new tool that completely deletes the jailbreak without using the computer and on the same version of iOS. We think that this is good news for jailbreakers who understand the meaning of this, and we will explain in this article how to use this tool in case of urgent need, but before you In the steps, you should learn some points about this tool: -

  • The tool is still in beta mode and is not a final version.
  • The tool deletes all files completely, i.e. just like restoring, meaning you need to make a backup copy via iTunes or the cloud and transfer your important files.
  • Your device must be connected to the Internet and the battery is above 50%.
  • Do not use your device while the tool is in operation.
  • The tool takes time depending on the amount of data on your device.
  • After the tool works, you will activate it with the initial settings such as installing the SIM and the i-Cloud password, if any, meaning you actually did a real restore.
  • The tool works from iOS 8.1 through iOS 8.4 only and not any other version.

Important clarification

Two years ago, a tool called iLEX RAT appeared, and we devoted an article to it at that time, and the tool enabled you to do something like a Restore without losing the jailbreak - see this link- Some people may think that the new tool is similar to it, and this is not true because the iLEX RAT tool used to allow everything on your device and return as if you had installed it, but the jailbreak and cydia are still present. But the current tool, Cydia Impactor, does a real restore, and the jailbreak is deleted, as well as anything on your device, as if you had created a restore using iTunes.

If you are a jailbreaker, tell us what you think about this tool, and will you use it if you need it?
