We continue with you the new iOS 12 in all its details, both as a whole, as we mentioned in part One Or detail each feature separately as in articles New in the photos app And article Three little features that I liked. Today, we are continuing with you the second part of the new features and updates in iOS 12. So stay tuned.

System update automatically

Felt a little bored with the old system update method? We all know that Apple allowed software store apps to be automatically updated on previous systems, and this was not available for iOS. But in iOS 12, Apple added an automatic system update option. Just enable that setting and the iOS system will update for you.

Add a second fingerprint (iPhone X)

If you wear sunglasses a lot, or wear a hat almost always, or spare your beard and shave it, there is no doubt that these things can interfere with taking the face print, and then you will see the screen to enter the passcode. Now it became easy and without any problems in iOS 12 as Apple allowed adding an "alternate format". Not only that, but you can add a fingerprint to anyone else, but Apple does not recommend that.

Facial recognition again (iPhone X)

After the failed attempt to recognize the face in previous versions, the system was asking you to enter the passcode. This is also found in iOS 12, but Apple added one more thing! Which is when you see the window to enter the passcode, swipe up to retry the facial recognition.

Instant setting of notifications without going to settings

This feature we have been waiting for, when the notifications are in the lock screen or in the pull-down menu, press 3D Touch on the notification, then click on the three dots above the notification to set or manage it as you like. You can also swipe left or right according to the phone's language and choose "Settings" instead.

Added a new widget for "Screen Time"

We mentioned in the first part article that the new Screen Time feature, through which a daily and weekly summary of the use of applications is displayed, such as the number of times the applications or device are launched and the use of each of them, and the applications with the most notifications, etc.

Tongue detection (iPhone X)

In iOS 12, Apple added a real-time tongue detection feature to it. Just choose your favorite anime character, then stick your tongue out and tease your friends.

FaceTime calls for anime, muji, stickers, and more

All thanks to the new ARKit 2.0 from the augmented reality library in iOS 12, which allows the use of muji, emoji, and stickers during video chats through FaceTime. We will deal with this feature in some detail in a future article, God willing.

New tool in Control Center

In iOS 11, Apple added a QR code scanning feature to the Camera app. But what is new is that Apple added a shortcut to that feature in the Control Center in iOS 12 to make it easier for you to use it quickly to avoid entering the different shooting modes in the camera application.

The ARKit 2.0 library makes the booster site much better than before

Many expected augmented reality technology to have a promising future. This technology was in its infancy in previous versions. But the situation became very impressive in the iOS 12 update after the introduction of the new version of the ARKit 2.0 library for augmented reality, which showed remarkable improvement, especially in face tracking, XNUMXD object detection, more realistic rendering, in addition to support for multiplayer, and team collaboration in a specific application, And add spectator mode from another iOS device. We will devote a detailed article for that.

Support for Favicons in Safari Browser

This feature means the presence of an icon or small icon next to the page title of the website you are browsing, such as the apple icon for the Apple website or the Islam iPhone icon for the iPhone Islam site. It is found in Google Chrome, Firefox, and many other browsers. It makes it easy for you to get to the page or site you want quickly. Image at the top, left before, right after.

Safari prevents data collection

In order to protect your privacy more and more, Safari prevents the sharing tools and comment buttons from tracking you without your permission. In addition, advertisers cannot obtain the features of your device, meaning that you will not be targeted by ads based on the type of your device, and ads cannot be directed to you in any way while you are using the Safari browser.

Password lockout

Time to get rid of the complicated third-party password managers and LastPass first. According to Apple, unique and complex passwords for all your applications and websites are automatically generated and saved in Safari and in the applications so that you can use complex and more secure passwords without the need to memorize them and get into trouble forgetting them.

This is not all, there are still other features and updates, which we will address in a future section. And if you are not able to know how any feature or feature works in the new update, mention it in the comments, and we will talk about it and how it works in detail.
