Less than a week separates us from the Apple WWDC conference, where it is expected that Apple will unveil new versions of all operating systems for its various devices, on top of which is iOS 13. Yesterday, screenshots of an iPhone running iOS 13 were leaked showing some new features that you know about.

Dark Mode

The images show the Dark Mode feature, which can be activated through the Control Center as a quick shortcut to activate the feature. One of the noticeable changes in the pictures is the dock, which comes with a dark background instead of light. It is expected that Apple will include new backgrounds that fit this new situation.

Looking at the Music app in dark mode, Apple has used a true black background, and it looks great on OLED screens. Of course, this real blackness affects battery life because OLED screens do not need to illuminate pixels in black.

There is another change in the user interface on iOS 13, instead of showing a gray background in the part that contains editing tools on the image in the screenshot, a transparent background appears, and it comes differently from the previous one.

The interface itself was redesigned on the iPad, which was beautifully rounded corners that can be dragged anywhere on the screen.

New reminders app

And as we mentioned in previous articles, the Reminders app is getting completely redesigned in iOS 13. It will also come to Mac OS 10.15. And on the iPad, the new reminders app contains a large sidebar with "Today", "Scheduled", "Flag" and "All" boxes, as well as a search box and a set of reminder lists.

Find My app

The Find My Friends and Find My iPhone apps are being unified in a brand new app called “Find My”. Significant improvements have been added to this application on the iPad. The new app displays a large map that fills the entire screen, with a small window in the corner listing the user's family and friends, and another tab for the user's other devices. When Dark Mode is enabled, the map looks the same as Maps on macOS when dark mode is enabled.

Apple is expected to announce iOS 13 next Monday, during the opening speech of the WWDC conference and immediately after that the beta version will be made available to developers.

What do you think of these new features in iOS 13, and are you hoping for other features? Let us know in the comments.
