This time, in the iOS 11 update, Apple introduced a package of important features and great updates to the camera application, especially for those people who are interested in live photos or "personal" portraits, as well as the QR Code feature, or the so-called Quick Response Code.

Some of these features were specially prepared for iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 10 due to the presence of the dual lens and the integrated sensors with the cameras of these devices.

These modern features range from new filters, effects and new settings to make the image look more vibrant and beautiful than before.

Make adjustments to Live Photos

When the Live Photo feature was introduced in iOS 9, it was a big surprise for those who own devices that support the 3D Touch feature, as taking a still picture may not express the moment and capturing a video will be very much so what is only a moment, so Apple introduced the Live Photos feature and called it the expression “photo” Which comes to life, ”you capture a vivid image of what is happening within 1.5 seconds before and after the photo is taken. What you get is more than just a great photo, it is a moment captured with all its movements and sounds. To capture a Live Photo you'll do what you do in a traditional photo capture:

  1. Open the "Camera" application.
  2. Make sure the camera is set On setting pictures.
  3. Click on the circle sign to do live photos.

As the default Live Photos feature is set to iPhone 6s and later devices. if you want Take still photos insteadThen tap the circle sign again to turn off the Live Photos feature.

Watch your photos come to life

After taking a live photo, you can breathe into life in this moment instantly from the Photos app.

  1. Open the "Photos" application.
  2. Go to the "Photos" tab.
  3. Click any live image.
  4. Firmly press and hold the screen.

Also, you will find all of your live photos grouped into one album called Live Photos

You can enjoy your live photos every time you open the iPhone as well, and they act as an animated background when you click on them, you just have to Set as wallpaper when locked.

New Live Photos in iOS 11

In iOS 11, Apple made several great updates to this feature, providing it with a set of editing tools so that you can add new effects, crop part of the image, choose the appropriate filters, and choose a suitable shot for the main display in which your image will appear. And to get started editing your live photo:

  1. Open the "Photos" application.
  2. Go to the "Photos" tab.
  3. Click on any live photo you want to edit.
  4. Click Edit.

You can choose a main shot of the live image

Now you can choose the appropriate shot in which you want your photo to appear when you open the Photos application, by clicking on Edit Image, then at the bottom of the image you will find a white square on the cropping bar. You can long press it and choose the appropriate main image, then press “Set as Image Main, then click "Done" to save the changes that you have made, and if you want to restore the settings again, you can enter the image and choose "Back".

You can make the live image repeat continuously automatically

Open the image application, not editing pictures, then drag the image up and you will find options for displaying the image, then choose "Loop" to keep the image moving without end.

4

You can make live photo on recoil mode

This is different from the previous loop mode where the image is played and when it is finished it starts over.

Long Exposure

The most important thing that must be understood at the beginning is the way this wonderful feature works, which is that the camera takes pictures in a fraction of a second, and when we press the capture button, there is a small hole in the camera lens that is very small, called the "shutter", which opens and closes in a fraction of a second. Which allows light to pass into the camera and this is how the image is recorded indoors.

But what will happen if we make this "shutter" remain open for a longer period, for example 3 seconds or XNUMX seconds? At that point, we will simply get a composite image of everything that will happen in these two or three seconds, meaning that every part of the scene will be captured and a scene will be placed over a scene. The non-moving parts of the image remain the same and the moving parts are placed on top of the previous one.

In the past, long exposure photography was limited to DSLR cameras, but now it is available in your hands without complications, equipment or professional cameras, as you can create beautiful effects, so the stars appear bright lines in the night sky, and waterfalls appear in a charming cloudy image.

You can send the live image to Android users

You can send the live image to an Android device, as well as post it to Facebook or Google photos, but it will be a static image and in JPG format. If you send it with "repeat or bounce" settings, it will arrive in MP4 or 3GP format, depending on the type of other Android device.

If you want to send the picture with the same efficiency and with the same settings, it is recommended that you send it via iMessage.

7

You can mail the image as an animation

If you send the live image by mail, it will be sent as a still image, but if you send it with the 'repeat or bounce' settings, it will be converted to GIF format.
