How to factory reset AirTag

Tracking tool Air Tag It is considered one of the very useful products in finding lost things, except that sometimes you may want to share it with others for any reason, and here you will need factory control because it is related to only one Apple ID. In the following lines, we will walk through the steps on how to perform a factory reset of a tool Air Tag Before giving it to someone else.

How to factory reset AirTag

Factory reset via Find My

how-to-factory-reset-airtag

  • Make sure the AirTag is in Bluetooth range
  •  Open the Find My app on the iPhone
  • Select the crown that you want to remove from your device list
  • Swipe up to display a list of its settings.
  • Tap on Remove Item
  • Click on Remove again to confirm your choice

Manual factory reset

You may not be able to return to the default settings because it is not within the Bluetooth range of the iPhone device or whatever the reason, then you need to do a manual factory reset by removing the AirTag battery.

  • Press the back made of stainless steel
  • Rotate the cap counterclockwise
  •  This will separate the two pieces from each other
  • Take the battery out, wait a few seconds, and then put it back in
  •  Press the battery until the tracker beeps
  • Wait for the AirTag to stop making sound
  • You will need to repeat the process of pressing the battery until it beeps four times for a total of five times

Finally, the manual method of removing the battery is a bit tricky and tedious, so we recommend the first method and do a factory reset through the Find My app before trying to give the AirTag tracking tool to anyone else.

You could be the Airtag not with you, or if you already gave it to someone and want him to use it with his account, then you delete it from your account and he deactivates it manually and then re-links it to his account.

Question ⁉️
If a person finds a property, how can he return it to its owner?
We hope for an answer
Or you are preparing a complete article about how, if you found Ertag, how to return it to its owner, you have some steps. Thank you.

    .

It is easy, but the device must be close to the Air Tag, and the lost mode must be activated, and it will show you its name, number and mail

It should be clarified that the manual method is a continuation of the first step and is not a separate method in itself, meaning that you will not be able to use it with another account until it is deleted from Find My.

You do not need the manual method if the airtag is in range of bluetooth when deleting it

Ok, so if the reset method works via Find my, what is the point of doing the manual method?

I actually noticed that by manually disconnecting the battery, the AirTag can be easily stolen with its accessories, whether a bag, wallet, keys, etc., and thus what is supposed not to be lost or missing from the AirTag’s accessories is lost - so why didn’t Apple link it to the person’s account in Apple and not disconnect it manually? It is sufficient to just disconnect it from the phone settings associated with it.

Simply and this is my personal opinion, that there is no point in preventing the person who found the import from the ability to control the factory, because if someone who finds it is dishonest, he can simply throw the cartridge into the nearest trash container and keep the bag or wallet. It became unnecessary to deprive the owner of the ability to manually reset the piece without success.

Use the loss pattern and don't separate. I tried and it worked

Does this talk mean that AirTalk is not linked to an Apple account like a phone?
It means anyone who finds Airtalk can link it to his phone
Or is it not linked unless the account linked to it removes it from his account?
I wish the owners of AIRTAC issued a fatwa on this matter, and you would advise the future owners of AIRTAC (Zay Halati)

The second method helps to steal the tool and disable it from its real owner

I found Airtag by chance on the road, and God is a witness to what I say
And I found on it an account linked to another person, and I traveled and took it with me, and I do not know what it is, until I understood that it must be returned or deleted from its owner
And all I want is to do it
    Is there a way

Do you also have this problem or just me?

Away from the topic of the article
I have a problem with the badge on the iPhone Islam app
When I receive a notification for a specific article, I find the badge number on the app 7 or 9 or more, sometimes 3, but the number of notifications is only one in the notification center and inside the app
So far, I have seen badge number 41, and the notice is one that is the subject of air traffic, even in the notification center
Note / I open all incoming notifications, meaning that the reason is not the number of unread notifications
