◉ To replace the button with another function, click on its space and you will see the plus sign (+) then choose the function you want in the next screen.
◉ Repeat these steps for the other button if you want to change it.
◉ Click Done when finished.
Set up some new tasks available on the Actions button.
In iOS 18, the Action button gets new capabilities. You can bypass Control Center and choose a control of your choice, such as opening the TV remote interface or something else.
To choose a different action for the Action button:
◉ Go to Settings > Actions button.
◉ Swipe sideways to select and activate one of the available actions.

Give your home screen a whole new look.
No one would have imagined that the freedom to place icons would be a feature on the iPhone, but that’s what happened. For years, iOS imposed a strict order, adding apps from top to bottom, from left to right. You could change the order of icons or move them between screens.
Now, with iOS 18, everything has changed. You can place apps almost anywhere you want. Photos of your loved ones or pets won’t be obscured by app icons. True, the system still relies on an invisible grid layout. This means you can’t just place them just randomly, there are specific points where you have to place the icons.
Dark mode also applies to every iPhone home screen, with options to color the icons and control the brightness of the background image. Here's how to customize your phone's appearance:
Applications order: Touch and hold the screen until the apps jiggle, then drag the icons to wherever you want.
Convert icons to smart widgets: Some apps, like Maps, can be expanded to show more useful information. Try long-pressing the app icon and discover new expansion options.
Comprehensive Dark Mode: Now you can apply dark mode to everything: icons, wallpaper, and even folders. To set it up, touch and hold on the home screen to enter vibrate mode. Then tap the Edit button in the top corner and choose Customize from the menu. At the bottom of the screen, choose a mode for the icons and wallpaper: Auto, Dark, or Light.
Colored icons: You can now colorize all your app icons so they share the same color. In the customization options at the bottom of the screen, choose “Colorful” as the icon style. You can then adjust the hue (slider with the color spectrum) and brightness (slider from dark to light) to choose the shade you prefer.

Change the look of the Control Center
Control Center used to be a place to quickly access controls like data, airplane mode, do not disturb, and more, but in iOS 18, Control Center is a large, customizable arena. You can place controls anywhere you want, resize many of them to reveal more information, and add new controls across multiple screens.
◉ Swipe down from the top-right corner to show Control Center, or swipe up from the bottom on iPhone SE.
◉ To enter editing mode, touch and hold or tap the + button in the upper left corner.
◉ As with moving and arranging apps, drag a control to wherever you want.
◉ Many controls have a handle in the lower right corner that you can use to resize the item, which in most cases reveals the item's name and state, such as turning off a light.
◉ Control Center now spans multiple screens. Swipe up to view controls for currently playing media, Home controls for lights and smart devices, and a dedicated page for connectivity options that appears when you long-press on a connectivity group that includes Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular, and more. You can rearrange the order of these screens by moving their controls around.
This way, you can customize the Control Center in iOS 18 to be more suitable for your daily needs.

- Make sure you have the latest update from To My Prayers.
- Open Control Center and tap the + sign above.

Lock or hide any of your sensitive apps
The iOS 18 update adds the ability to lock and hide apps to protect sensitive data.
To lock an application:
◉ Touch and hold the icon of the app you want to lock.
◉ Choose “Require Face ID” or “Require Touch ID,” or “Require Passcode.” If Face ID or Touch ID isn’t enabled, choose that from the menu that appears.
◉ Confirm your selection by tapping “Require Face ID” or whatever you want in the next dialog box.
To hide apps in a special locked folder:
◉ Touch and hold the app and choose “Require Face ID.”
◉ Click “Hide and Require Face ID” in the dialog box.
◉ Confirm the action by clicking “Hide App” on the next screen.
◉ The app disappears from the home screen and is placed in a hidden folder at the bottom of the app library.
Adjust your calendar view
The Calendar app includes two new ways to view your schedule:
In portrait month view, zoom in with two fingers to view more or less detail.
Today View now has a new multi-day view that shows two consecutive days to give you context for what's coming up without having to rotate the phone to landscape and view the week view.
Improve movie and TV show dialogue in TV app
The TV app in iOS 18 includes a sophisticated technical solution to make dialogue easier to distinguish.
While watching a video in the TV app:
◉ Click on the More button (…).
◉ Expand the Audio heading in the menu that appears.
◉ Click on “Enhance Dialogue” and choose “Enhance” or “Boost”.
◉ Each reduces background noise and increases the volume of dialogue.
