ITunes is the program provided by Apple to enable the average user to synchronize his device (iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad) and between his personal computer, as it is a tool for transferring applications, multimedia files and others, but despite this great importance of the program, there are still many who are not good at Dealing with him, and they sent to us inquiring about some points and asking for a solution to some of the problems they face, and in this part we review how to transfer images, video files and audio to iTunes.

Prepare files in supported formats:

IOS and Apple devices support specific extensions and if you choose an unsupported file, iTunes will not transfer it.

  • the video: IOS supports MP4 and M4V extensions.
  • PhoneticsThe iOS extension supports most popular audios such as: AAC; AIFF; MP3; WAV and others.
  • PicturesIOS supports most of the popular image extensions such as: Jpg; Jpeg; Gif; Bmp, Png and others.

If the file you want to transfer is in other than these formats, you can use any conversion application such as Format Factory Which we used on Previous article for Ringtone Converter.

To convert the video, open the application on your computer and select "All to a mobile phone" and then choose your device. This command is useful for converting the video to the exact size of your device's screen and providing any additional space:

Transfer video and audio to your device:

1In the case of audio and video, drag the files (in supported formats) and place them into iTunes.

2To sync audios, go to Music and select which files you want to Sync

3To sync videos, go to a video, select any files you want to sync, then click Sync


Sync photos:

Syncing photos differs from any other files, as iTunes does not display images, so you will not be able to drag and drop pictures into iTunes. If you want to transfer images, you must put them in a special folder and then move them after that by the following steps:

1Create a folder on your device to be the main photo albums folder, then create a folder inside it and place the pictures in it.

2Go to iTunes, then choose Photos, then sync photos, and choose the main folder.

3If you want to sync all content then choose All Folders. If you want to choose specific albums, choose which albums you want to sync then click Sync.
