The MIT Entrepreneurship Forum - Arab World is one of 28 forums in the global edition of the Massachusetts University of Technology Entrepreneurship Forum, which is considered one of the most important supporters of entrepreneurship and innovation in the world. Since its establishment in 2005, the Arabic version of the Forum has proven highly effective through a strong track record.
In this year's competition, we qualified with a synchronized application to move to the next stage, and this is a good achievement, and God willing, two of a synchronized team will be present in Jeddah from April 10 to 15 to participate and present a synchronized application to an elite of the judges, and we hope to achieve success and benefit from this experience.
In the second stage that we are qualified for, we must present synchronization in front of a panel of judges for a period of only three minutes, and try to convince the referees committee that synchronization is a project that deserves to be won and supported.
How will we display sync in three minutes?
I love to read news in several fields, especially in the field of technology and business, and to collect new news. I was faced with a big problem, which is moving from site to site in order to read as many articles as possible, and this wasted a lot of time between trying to find the right news for me and waiting for each article to download. To solve the problem, I searched for Arabic apps that collect news, but I found many flaws in these applications as they usually do not display the entire article and do not preserve the formatting of articles in terms of location of images or videos, and you do not know my interest, so I still have to search for articles that are appropriate for me.
There is a big gap between Arab and foreign news applications, and we saw an opportunity to fix this and produce an Arabic application that benefits everyone interested in reading news and knowing what is happening around it in the world by developing a synchronized project, an application for smart devices and a website that collects news from the best Arab sites and displays them in full and in the same format as the original site Very quickly, and we were able to do this using a technology that we've been working on for more than two years, which is the Quick Article technology.
The technique of quick articles is very complex, as it understands the sites and the way they display articles and converts their content into a special small-sized format, at the same time understanding each element of the content and preserving its identity and displaying it in the original device language to display quickly, completely and in the same original format of the content and without download time.
All this happens like magic, so the user does not feel except that he is in front of a distinguished Arabic application that opens news in the areas of interest to him and reads them quickly and in a beautiful format and takes advantage of the capabilities of his device in dealing with the content so that he watches the videos on the system's video player, and notifications come to him of all new from any source he chooses He uses the split screen on the iPad to follow news, browse other applications, read full articles from his smart watches, and uses the XNUMXD touch feature to look at the article without opening it, and hear news headlines in his car, in addition to commenting, interacting, or sharing the article or any part On it via social media.
This is what really happened, as a synchronized application was released on February 17, 2016, and in less than two months there are more than 150 active users of the application, daily browse more than 3 million news and read more than a quarter of a million articles, this huge number of users felt the importance of having the application on Some of them have told us that they have removed all other news applications, and more are expected from us.
Zamen has made companies with more than 35 famous Arab sites to display their content in a distinctive way in the application of Zamen, and thus these sites benefit from the large audience of Zamen and create a parallel community that follows their site and their new ones on a daily basis.
Within the framework of the development we are working on, Zamen will be available on Android devices within two months, and we are working in parallel on a technology that understands the user’s taste and selects the articles he prefers and avoids duplicate articles. Also, several news areas will be added, such as sports, local news, health and the environment.
A synchronized team has more than eight years of experience in developing applications for smart devices. We are the first to Arabize the iPhone and the iPad, and we are the only ones to convert the iPad into a phone, and we have more than 50 applications for smart devices with more than eight million users and we were the first to Supports new technologies in the Arab world as soon as they are released. Which made us famous and trusted by all technology enthusiasts in the Arab world.
