The iPhone 5s came with an assistant processor called the Apple M7 to be a tool that helps many fitness applications as it analyzes the movement of the iPhone and through complex mathematical equations that recognize the type of this movement, whether running or walking and others. During the past months, we followed in MIMV - the company that owns the iPhone Islam - the applications that are issued to support this processor, but we did not find any Arab application that enters this field. Therefore, we decided that our application “Steps” would be the first Arabic application that supports the M7 processor in the software store.

Some companies aim to profit quickly regardless of any other considerations, and others aim to have the largest number of applications. As for us at MIMV, there is a value and a goal we seek, which is that the Arab user gets applications of the same international quality and in the Arabic language, and that we have in our Arab store applications that support the latest global technologies, whether in operating systems or devices. Years ago, we launched the "Al-Quran" application, which came in a way of turning pages that simulates the truth, and this method was not known at the time, and even Apple itself had not released a copy of its own. The same thing was repeated with the application of the qiblah in virtual reality and other matters. It is now time for us to repeat the same thing with Steps, to be an example for Arab application development companies to exploit the latest technologies in a way that suits the Arab user.

The "Steps" application uses the M7 coprocessor available on the iPhone 5s, iPad mini Retina and iPad Air. Which analyzes the vibrations of a device and predicts the movements that you have made what they mean. As soon as you open the application, you will be presented with an interface that informs you of the outcome of the day's movement. So you can compare your movements with previous days, know details about them, and thus strive to be more moving each day.

What is the feature of the M7? In 64Bit processors, Apple has assembled all the device's "sensors" into a coprocessor, and it monitors the device’s movement permanently and records data and all this without any exploitation of the device’s power. This means that if you own an iPhone 5s or iPad Air and Mini Retina, your device's processor records all your steps, runs, and more. And since this data is registered, why not get an application that shows it to you? This was the question and also how can we benefit from the M7 in matters that suit our culture and that have not crossed the minds of international companies? This was our goal while developing Steps. The answer we got was, “Why don't we use the M7 processor to urge us to increase our steps of goodness? And comparing her to her males in the previous days?

To achieve this, we added in the application steps a feature that is not present in foreign applications, which is “Events”, which enables you to calculate the steps that you take in a specific task, for example, you will go in a charitable convoy and want to count the number of your steps in it so that you know whether your determination to do good is increasing Or less.

And if you are an athlete, you can also start a running, bike, or walking "event", etc. and determine the period of time for which you want to record your movement. This is not available in any other application.

We sought in the “Steps” application to include the latest technologies used, so we relied on UiKit Dynamic that Apple used in building the iOS 7 system and many Blur backgrounds and a Flat interface compatible with iOS 7 and others, which will make your application experience enjoyable.

The app is now in Apple review and we hope it will be available soon on the App Store
