Apple announced a collaboration with a famous Japanese fashion house. Issey Miyake Introducing a new and unique product called the “iPhone Pocket.” This pocket is specially crafted using 3D knitting technology and is designed to carry your iPhone and other small items in a stylish and modern way.

What is an iPhone pocket and how was it designed?

The iPhone pocket was designed in Japan using a 3D knitting technique that gives it a unique and flexible shape. The designers drew inspiration from Issey Miyake's flowing, draped garments, creating a fabric that stretches slightly to accommodate the iPhone and other small items.

The device is made of an open fabric that allows you to view the iPhone screen without taking it out of your pocket. It can also be carried by hand, attached to your bag, or worn directly on the body using the included strap.
Different styles and colors to suit everyone

The pocket is available with two strap lengths: short and long. The color options include lemon, tangerine, purple, pink, dark yellow (coral), sapphire, cinnamon, and black. The short strap is available in more colors than the long strap, which comes in only three.

Molly Anderson, Apple's vice president of industrial design, stated that the collaboration between Apple and Issey Miyake demonstrates an appreciation for craftsmanship, simplicity, and beauty in design. This practical addition embodies these values and is a natural complement to Apple products.

Yoshiyuki Miyamai, the design director on Miyake’s team, added that the design expresses the deep relationship between the iPhone and its user, taking into account that Apple products are characterized by beauty and versatility.

The iPhone Pocket will be available as a limited-edition product through Apple's website and select retailers in New York, London, and Tokyo. The price of the short strap will be US$149.95The long belt, its price US$229.95.
