Nokia recently announced its own numbers for its store, its applications and the developers who are registered in it, and they were truly amazing numbers, despite all the problems they had recently by surpassing iPhone and Android sales to them (however, they are still in the foreground by a large margin).

Ovi store, which is similar to app stores in other devices (which opened only a year and a half ago). Approximately two million three hundred thousand applications are downloaded from it daily, by Nokia users, with an increase of two million downloads within only a few weeks, as for the number of subscribers, the other is large if it is recorded daily. This store has about two hundred thousand users daily, from one hundred and ninety different countries.

On the level of developers, more than seventy people have achieved one million downloads of their applications by users, fourteen of whom are from the United States.
Excellent numbers, without a doubt, for a company that is struggling in the face of new technologies and innovations from Apple and Google, and even tells us that Nokia still has the opportunity to launch again like a phoenix that rises from the ashes back to life and flies again.
But the numbers game has recently spread widely among companies, as everyone has become publishing high numbers about their sales, merchants and developers (including Apple and Google), so that some of them have become exposed to each other! This is a clear and supportive marketing policy in the fierce smartphone war, and it means two things:
- As for everyone exaggerating his numbers, seeking greater spread among users and better marketing of his products.
- Or that the pie for this market is large enough to accommodate everyone, regardless of their numbers.

Nokia has a long history of proliferation and precedence and despite its current problems and the arduous competition it received from Apple, Google and others, we believe that it still has the opportunity to retain the first place in the world as the most widespread device, and to enhance its reputation in the field of smart phones, yes it still has the time and capabilities and it seems that it has started Fix it with the upcoming new CEO of Microsoft Stephen Elop. It still has a lot of hard work to do.
It was good if Nokia refused to adopt Android and go to it, but also mocked it, not because the Android is bad, but because if it accepted this transformation of it, it would lose its identity and destroy itself quickly.

As for the Symbian system, it seems that it is on the way to its demise with the decrease in the support of partners and developers for it, the last of which is Samsung, which has stopped its support for the developers of this system, and the good thing is that Nokia has an alternative that is actually the "Migo" that it developed with Intel and the "Maemo" system also based on Linux.
The "Migo" operating system is the result of a partnership and cooperation between Nokia and Intel, as they have merged their "Maemo" systems from Nokia and "Moblin" from Intel and combined their capabilities by taking advantage of the first interface and its app store and taking advantage of the second kernel and its strength, and the new system became dependent on Linux (and we We know that the iPhone iOS system depends on UNIX in its kernel, and Android depends on Linux.)
The MiGo system has the advantage that it is not only intended for smartphones, but also can be installed on netbooks, tablets, tablets, as well as on digital TVs.
Nokia is distinguished by being similar to Apple, Google, and Microsoft and it combines their characteristics, as it manufactures devices such as Apple and manufactures the operating system such as Google and Microsoft, and has a store, applications and a large base of programmers around the world such as Apple and Microsoft, and allows a third party to develop in its system such as Google.
Therefore, we see that the opportunity is strongly available for it to remain in the competition by following the following steps:
- Start ditching Symbian immediately and adopting Migo or Maemo or both. (The trend, according to Nokia officials, is to Migo as the future of Nokia's operating systems)
- Manufacturing a high-specification device with new technologies so that it can compete with the iPhone, Samsung and HTC devices.
- Developing a new policy and a successful business model for the software store and developers to attract the largest number of them.
- Introducing an advanced tablet device based on one of the two previous systems
- A robust and easy-to-use interface design that rivals the iPhone and Android systems.
If Nokia changed its skin and appeared with a new, advanced system and device, would you then think of a direction or a return to it?
