In May of each year, Google holds its annual conference, which is known as I / O, in which the company unveils its latest systems. It is the parallel conference for WWDC from Apple. This year's conference begins in a few hours. Personally, I awaited this year's conference with great passion for these reasons.

So I eagerly await the Google I / O 2018 conference today

Android P

I will tell you a secret; 3 months ago I changed my Android phone to another that works with the latest Google systems, the eighth system “Oreo”, and the truth is the phone is impressive, and the improvement I see in Android is unprecedentedly fast, this is my third phone and I moved from 4.0 out of date and then 6.0 and now with Oreo ... and soon I will write an article telling you about things I really like it about Oreo. And because I know that, God willing, my device will get the next Android P, so for the first time I feel so passionate; How will Google develop its system? Will you continue to bridge the remaining gaps between it and iOS? Or will it focus on introducing new features? Or will it focus on security and performance? Or all of the above? Even if you do not have an Android device, the rule says that when a competitor creates advantages, Apple must respond and develop its system further. So Android P is one of the things I have been waiting for.

Artificial Intelligence AI

There is almost a consensus that the AI and the real smart assistant is either Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. As for Samsung Bixby, it is submerged and Microsoft Cortana no one knows about it ... Apple is proudly at the top of the list of the dumbest smart assistant in the world, which is "Siri". Even when X users are asked about their device, they praise everything in it from the screen, battery, size and performance, but collect 80% of them. Siri is a failure.

Personally, I tried the Google Assistant on the phone as well as on the Google Home device, and the performance is great and you can recognize our English with our English accent with terrible fluidity; Its integration with other Google devices like Chromecast is simple and easy which makes me wonder how Apple will develop artificial intelligence to catch up with Google! The question is also for Google, which is what you can provide more about it? Google officially announced that there will be part of the conference on artificial intelligence and important developments for it.

Some people may think that artificial intelligence is only in Google Assistant, but the situation is not like that, for example Google uses this artificial intelligence in the camera, as it adjusts and improves the captured image, and even the Google Pixel phone can capture a portrait with a single camera, using artificial intelligence. And the phone became the only one in the list of the top 10 phones that comes with a single camera. Google previously hinted that it will seek to fully transfer the advantages of artificial intelligence to all devices and will not be exclusive to Pixel. So wait to see what else to offer.

Devices and systems

There is no new phone in this conference, but a Google phone will come at the end of the year, but sometimes the company unveils new devices at the conference, as happened in 2016 and announced Google Home. Google may reveal new devices or updates for existing devices this year. Also, Google is expected to update its own wearable system. The field of smart watches is Apple's monopoly, and it has the lion's share without a competitor. The same is true for car systems.

last word

You can love one company and hate another company, and this is normal for a person to love and hate and feel a sense of belonging even to devices; But you have to get what's best for you, even if it's from a company you don't like. After all, your interest is more important than hating and loving company. Follow the Google I / O conference, which will be broadcast live on YouTube, learn about new technologies and get them if you want or talk about them a lot. When Apple sees that there is momentum and popularity for a particular feature, it adds it.

Do you follow other companies' conferences, especially Google I / O? What do you expect from its conference today?
